This pie is awesome it is a little tart, a little sweet, and full of flavor.

1 Pint Blackberries

1 1/2 Pints Blueberries

Zest of 1 Lemon

Juice of 1 Lemon

3/4 Cup Sugar

1/4 Cup Corn Starch

1 Double Pie Crush

1 Tablespoon Butter

Prepare a double pie crust whether it is homemade or store bought.

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Place the bottom crust in your pie pan. In a separate bowl place washed and patted dry berries along with sugar, corn starch, and lemon zest. Stir to coat the berries and pour the juice of one lemon over. Stir to incorporate and create slurry over berries.

Dump berry mix into prepared pie pan. Dot with butter.

Place top pie crust and cut slits to allow heat to escape. Brush top with water and sprinkle 2 tablespoons of sugar.

Place in oven on an aluminum foil covered cookie sheet. Turn the temperature down to 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Cover top with aluminum foil. Turn oven back up to 400 degree. Bake for 15 more minutes.

Remove from oven and remove foil. Cool before serving. If not the filling will be runny.
