Well after spending years on working on our yard and house we made a decision to move to a newly built house. The yard is a blank slate. We get to for the first time decide everything about our yard and landscape. Prior to this we have always purchased a pre-existing house. We have always had to correct others mistakes or fix neglected landscape this time it is a blank slate to begin from scratch.

I can tell you I already miss my flowers, but I have made a list of my must haves. It will take a year or two but I will grow my cut garden again.

Step 1. As we move from Winter to Spring we have started to prepare the ground. Harrowing to pull the weeds and turn up the dirt. We are picking rocks and working the land.

This is an important step to even out the land so we do not have holes and we are preparing for when top soil can be delivered.
