Chocolate Truffle Frosting aka Ganache

One of the easiest frosting to make is Chocolate ganache. It consists of three ingredients Chocolate, cream, and vanilla. It makes any dessert decadent.

12 oz Chocolate Chips, Semi-Sweet

1 cup Heavy Cream

1 teaspoon Vanilla


Add the chocolate chips and cream into a glass bowl if you are going to use a microwave. Place bowl in microwave for 1 minute. Pull out of microwave and whisk. If all of chocolate is not melted place back in microwave for 30 - 60 minute. Remove from microwave and whisk until incorporated and smooth. Add Vanilla and whisk until cool. The same process can be followed in a double boiler.
