I don’t like Maple flavor so Maple syrup is a no go with me. I learned how to make my own syrup. If you are like me or if you just want something different here is how to make you own syrup. Trust me it is so much better than the bottled syrups. Leftover will be good for 5 days.

2 cups White Sugar

1 cup water

1/2 cup Blueberries

1/2 cup Blackberries

1/2 cup Raspberries

1 pat Butter

Place sugar and water in a saucepan, stir over medium heat until clear and starting to thicken.

Gently add berries to boiling sugar water solution. Be careful it will be hot and you don’t want it to splash on you!!

The mix will stop boiling while the berrirs come up to temperature. Boil on medium low as the berries cook and the syrup thickens again. Put a pat of Butter in pot to reduce the foam. Smash the blackberries to help them breakdown.

When the berries have cooked down and syrup is thickened remove from heat and serve.

It is great over waffles, pancakes, french toast, cheesecake, the sky is the limit.
