The Anchor Plant is usually a woody plant or a large flowering perennial or bush. Roses, Peony, Poppy are all large flower ideas. I chose a woody plant with small white flowers which are very fragrant. Not only is a cutting garden a joy to see but also to smell. Use all your sense when choosing flowers for your garden. You can always prune and keep a bush small in your cut garden. However, you can also plant larger bushes in other flower beds and keep the cut garden for smaller plants.

I chose a fragrant plant with little white flowers which will stay small. I have planted larger perennial in my flower beds. It was more important for me to get a variety of flowers, colors, smell, and fillers for bouquets. Decide on what is important to you.
