A childhood neighbor Becky Toone gave her mother’s breadstick recipe out to neighbors. It is a simple yet wonderful recipe.
Mix together and let set while you get everything ready. In a warm mug or bowl:
1 Tablespoon Yeast
2 Tablespoons Sugar
1 1/2 cups Warm Water
In a separate bowl or mixer with dough hook, add
1/2 teaspoon Salt
3 cups Flour
Mix flour and salt then add Yeast mixture. Mix and knead 3 minutes until it forms a smooth dough. Rest for 10 minutes.
Melt
1 stick (1/2 cup) Butter
On a baking sheet in the over or melt it in the microwave and pour on baking sheet.
After 10 minutes roll the dough into a rectangle.
Cut the dough into stripes and then in half. Roll in the butter and place in the baking sheet. Fill the baking.
Sprinkle lightly with:
Garlic Salt and Parmesan Cheese.
Allow to raise for 15 - 20 minutes.
Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes.
