Sea Holly is not a thistle. It is a beautiful plant that is drought and salt spray tolerant. They grow naturally on beaches in Europe and the Mediterranean. They are a perennial which flower in mid-summer. The flowers can be green, silver, blue, purple-blue, and white. They are great additions to your flower bouquet or garden. It adds extra structure, diversity, and wild. They do not transfer well because they have a large tap root. The best of all they are easy to grow.
